Market Insight Research Privacy Policy

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Joslin Insight will not be gathering any personal, sensitive or HIPAA level in our market insight studies. All identifiable responses are stored on Qualtrics servers (including name, email address). Only coded, de-identified data is exported (assigned a number). After 90 days, any exported records are destroyed. Responses will only be shared at the individual level with explicit written permission from the respondent.

All Joslin Insight market insight surveys use Qualtrics, the industry’s leading experience management software. For over a decade, Qualtrics has provided best-in-class security and meets the EU’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and is HIPAA compliant, ISO 27001 certified, and FedRAMP authorized – that’s the “gold standard” of security certification used by the U.S. Government for SaaS providers.

As part of those programs, a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) – a key requirement of GDPR – has been performed and evaluated by an independent third-party assessor, so their clients can be confident that their data remains secure. In addition, Qualtrics has a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) that documents their handing of all data, including personal data.

Joslin Insight can easily find and modify collected personal data to meet the ‘correction’ requirement of the GDPR when personal data is gathered during a market insight study. Joslin Insight can easily modify such data should it be requested. Joslin Insight can permanently delete individual contacts and respondent personal data should an individual request it by using a data subject request if such data exists. Qualtrics one-touch data deletion functionality means erasure happens in one place.
